CANCELLATION POLICY: Please let us know if you can’t make your appointment. We require 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations/amendments otherwise a 50% charge may apply. The fee will be charged to the credit card on file or on your next visit.

RUNNING LATE: If you find you are running late, we recommend you call to determine if we can hold your appointment. We’ll always do our best to accommodate if you’re running late but arriving more than 15 minutes behind schedule means we might have to adjust your service or reschedule.

PET POLICY: As much as we love our furry companions, it violates the Health Protection and Promotion Act. Service animals described in subsection 80.45 of Ontario Regulation (Integrated Accessibility Standards) made under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 are allowed.

DEPOSIT: A 50% deposit is required when booking Keratin treatments, Hair Extensions, Color changes and Corrections. You will be asked for a credit card number upon booking your appointment.

CHEMICAL SERVICES:

  • For color changes, color corrections and new color clients we require a consultation prior to booking an appointment. Consultations are complimentary and can be performed in person or over the phone. 
  • Depending on your desired results, your color technician may need to formulate more extensively and your service may require extra steps which include but are not limited to extra color, toners, breaking the base, shadow toning, glossing, deep conditioning treatments, etc.…These services are add-ons and pricing will be determined upon consultation.
  • We recommend booking a blow dry after your color services to see your full results.

HAIRCUTS & BLOW-DRY: An additional $10+ will be added to your cut or blow dry service, depending on hair length and time. Please visit link to styling menu.

BLOW-DRY CLUB:

  • If curls or flat iron (hot tools) are requested, there is a $10+ charge per blow-dry. The charge is determined by length of hair and time, upon consultation. You can pre purchase a blow-dry package with hot tools already included or ala cart. (add hot tools per visit) Please visit link to styling menu.
  • Blow dries are transferrable and can be used by friends, family and coworkers. A great way to treat someone to good hair!

REFER A FRIEND: refer a friend or family member and you will both receive 15% off on your visit.

STUDENT DISCOUNT: Show your student discount card and receive 10% off your services and 10% off on hair products.

GUARANTEES/REFUNDS: If you are dissatisfied with the service, we will re-do it free of charge within five days, after that we will discount rate by 25%. Your consultation will be noted and re-do’s will be done accordingly. In the event that there is service breakdown on the part of [the salon] and you are unable to return we will offer you a refund.

To be eligible for a retail product refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. If you had an allergic reaction from the product, or the product is defective or damaged we will offer a refund.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY: We limit access to your personal information only to those employees on an “as needed basis” in order for them to do their job. We have physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect your personal information.

WHY AN ECO FEE/SERVICE CHARGE? We are thrilled to announce our partnership with green circle salons. As a responsible business in our community, we pride ourselves on the positive contribution we make in our community. Our goal is to champion positive business practices that enhance the lives of the people living in our community and develop innovative solutions where options do not exist.

We feel that throwing thousands of pounds of recyclable materials into the local landfill is not a positive contribution to our community or a best practice. Hair in landfills adds a tremendous amount of greenhouse gases into the air. Metals, chemicals, and other materials add to the growing issue of pollution and draw on the Earth’s resources. 

The good thing is that all of these materials are recyclable. The challenge is that there are no traditional options. These materials are deemed hard to recycle and require extra effort and an extra cost. The choice to fund this best-practice with an ECO fee is a transparent way to show the community what we are doing. Most businesses simply raise their prices to adopt new technologies. Similar to engine oil, tires, mobile phones, & dry cleaning fluid, our left over materials cause harm when discarded. And while those industries had to be regulated before taking action, we have voluntarily chosen to divert our waste from the local landfill.

This transparent tool allows us to recycle these materials. Together we can responsibly re-introduce them into the environment without causing any carbon footprint and help keep our community cleaner and safer. 

WHY A SERVICE CHARGE? For several years Salon Dew has worked hard to bring you reasonable prices on quality hair care and exceptional service. We realize that in today’s world the cost of living and doing business has gone up significantly. To put this service charge in perspective, rising costs in labor and operating costs, increased prices from our suppliers, offering the highest quality in hair care and to provide the best service possible are some of the reasons for a fee.

We are doing everything we can to provide with quality products and service, while keeping our planet in mind. In order to keep up our sustainable practices, we have added a total of $5 ECO/SERVICE fee per salon visit. This fee also goes towards environmental stewardship costs.
